‘Creativity, paired with new technologies is the golden egg legacy world businesses are unknowingly sitting on’, VESA says.

The artist, taking a moment from his day-to-day operations, agreed to reveal his thoughts to us on businesses onboarding into systems and solutions in Web3.
Typically, creativity is allocated a relatively narrow slot in people’s perception, only associating it with the visual arts and other artisanal pursuits. Creativity is, however, the driving engine between a mediocre entrepreneur and an exceptional one. Finding unusual solutions to unusual problems might be the antidote for many businesses against falling behind their competitors in a fiercely contested market, where consumers are more discerning and knowledgeable than ever.

‘Businesses need to embrace Web3, but the content has to be relevant and meaningful. Nobody is going to revisit a metaverse with little else than the company logo on it’, VESA says.

‘This is where the opportunity lies, in entwining the company’s interest of accessing new markets and staying ahead, creative solutions and content that makes sense’, he continues.

As an advisor and creative, VESA has seen the scope of metaverse developments. He is involved with seven different metaverse worlds, including Superworld, Megaverse and Cornerstone Land. What advice would he give to businesses dreaming of their very own metaverse experience?

‘Once you’ve checked off technicalities with your service provider, the most important thing is to know why you’re building a metaverse space and how your potential customers are going to be incentivised to show up’, VESA says.

‘A world without art and creative solutions in all it’s shapes and forms is lifeless and not approachable, and it is the same in the metaverse, perhaps even more since the human touch is harder to recreate initially’, he reminds us.
‘And this of course goes for any activation the company is looking to execute, everything needs creative storytelling and visuals to bring the message home’,

But what about NFTs? What should a company think of them at this point?
‘I’d say look at the technology itself, it is revolutionary and we will use NFTs on a mass scale in the future, VESA says.

‘Just remember that NFTs are nothing more than a glorified receipt, the underlying technology that proves digital scarcity and ownership is what matters, and that technology can be used for a multitude of different uses, art and collectibles just happened to be the first use case’.

Currently on the NFT front, VESA is an advisor for Metahistory: The Museum of War project in support of Ukraine as well as an ambassador for Oceans & Us, an environmental project utilising another solution, AI, to power their plastic gathering. Oceans & Us also collaborated with VESA on his concept Protect to Earn, which gives legacy world companies a hall-pass into Web3 via social impact.
