Refresh is an exclusive art piece made to honour the past, present & future of UAE. It's an early UAE crypto artwork from 2020, made at a time not much like it, if anything, had been made in the NFT space. The artwork presents an idea of a tokenised country on its way to Mars via the Emirati space program. The figures have the Bitcoin genesis code transparently on their heads, accessible by all, and the tokenised royal horse helps the rocket launch to Mars. The liquid sky symbolises the wealth and fluidity of the accommodation mindset offered to all who travel here.

The still horse was modelled from a photograph from the Dubai Horse show of a royal specimen, kindly provided and approved by Dr. Marwan, the CEO of the Dubai Blockchain Center, to use for this image. The glistening skyline showcases how intimately tied to the mystery and forward-thinking attitude the feeling here is.

The artwork is an edition of three, coupled with an acrylic re-paint physical 200x100cm version of the artwork, which functions with an AR function via Artivive app. It has been presented in big stages in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as crypto media.

The original still work was animated with Frank Spalteholz, and the soundtrack was composed by Jussi Kraft.

Refresh was presented at the start of VESA’s keynote in Abu Dhabi at the Blockchain World Conference.
